JR18177 PCB Layout Engineer (Open for fresh graduates)

As a Printed Circuit Board Layout Designer for Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the design and development of complex and detailed layouts of printed circuit boards used in semiconductor test equipment. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated individual with a deep understanding of printed circuit board design to produce schematics and physical layouts for a variety of electro-mechanical systems. This position will interface with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, fabrication, production assembly, and will aid in troubleshooting within the entire product development process. You will work as part of a design team collaborating with the Systems Integration layout designers, in planning, design, construction, implementation and evaluation of all printed circuit boards produced. You will also be responsible for identifying and solving design weaknesses in order to optimize future designs. In this role you must have a strong command of PCB manufacturing processes and high-speed signal integrity design rules.

**Responsibilities and Tasks**:

- Design printed circuit board (Schematic Entry) that meets internal design standards and advanced power, signal and electronics circuits.
- Floor planning of components, considering KOZ and DFX.
- Design or Create PCB Layout assemblies with DFM guidelines for all types of board.
- Participate in DFX, risk analysis and verification/validation of our layout to ensure products meet manufacturability, quality, and reliability goals.
- Follow Best Practice design guidelines
- Create associated design documentation and participate in design review meetings
- Hands-On knowledge and utilization of Cadence Allegro or Mentor Graphics tools
- Produce quality, error-free designs and work effectively as part of a design team
- Develop work effort and scope estimates, efficient resource assignment to support multiple projects
- Support quick-turn board builds with PCBA contract manufacturers
- Work with mechanical engineers on the mechanical-electrical packaging

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated aptitude in acquiring new knowledge and technologies
- The ability to work well with other technical individuals
- A strong desire and commitment to do whatever is necessary to support board level development
- Solid Personal Computer, excellent troubleshooting, excellent organizational, and strong communication skills
- High degree of self-initiative and ability to think and act independently.
- Experience in interface hardware design is preferred
- Knowledge in schematic/layout symbol creation will be an added advantage.

**Experience**:Minimum 1 - 3 years PCB schematic design and layout experience on any of the following**:

- Mentor Graphics
- Cadence Allegro
- Altium experience will be an added advantage.

**Education**:

- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- PCB Design or related field of study
- IPC Designer certification (CID/CID+) preferred
