**CNC Machinist / Setter**

Responsible to set-up and operate CNC Machine Milling, Lathe
- Able to perform simple programming (For CNC machines only)
- Conduct first piece inspection
- Report to management in the event of non-conformance of components
- Adhere to good quality, housekeeping, and safety practices
- Perform 5S

Detailed
- Perform duties assigned by Engineering
- Check Routing Sheet details against drawings are correct before machining
- Maintain good housekeeping in the areas of work
- Always follow Company’s safe working practices and requirements
- Comply with safety measures and practices of the Company
- Report any unsafe conditions and practices to Production Superintendent or Engineering Assistant
- Ensure that a machining and inspection procedure is compiled to meet Quality Management System requirements and Quality Objectives
- Ensure adherence and compliance of the Quality Management System and achieve Quality Objectives
- Check raw material dimension before machining commencement
- Carry out the day-to-day machining operation in accordance with Routing Sheet and required date
- Perform 100% in-process inspection and recording inspection result
- Identity any non-conformance product and inform the problem to Production Superintendent or Engineering Assistant
- Check and report raw material defects / non-conformance before commencement
- Proper handling and usage of inspection devices and production machines/equipment
- Ensure job piece set-up and machining operation is in accordance with Routing Sheet and drawings
- Constant check on machining process and carry out in-process inspection to control the dimension according to customer requirements
- Maintenance and account for the inspection devices and tools issued for use

**Requirements**:

- NTC 2 or 3 in Precision Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Able to operate Fanuc Controller
- Experience in the machine applied for will be an added advantage
- Trainee positions available for interested parties without experience
- Able to read & interpret technical drawings
- Capable of using measuring instruments - Micrometre, Bore Gauge, Profile Projector
