Department Overview: Purchasing/Procurement department vision is to be a trusted partner that delivers outstanding customer service with stakeholders’ collaboration and drive values that are in line with company objectives.A fabrication cost engineer job will provide cost estimate for new products through competitive benchmarking, value analysis, value engineering best practices, and general 'should-cost' model with a focus on mechanical parts and assemblies. DESIGNATION : Fabrication Costing Engineer RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for should costing and design to cost analysis for New Product Introduction (NPI). - Has to be involved in cost reduction product throughout the life cycle of the product. - Recommend improvements to cost competitiveness, - Optimize processes and identify cost opportunities, - Prepare input for cost plan projections - Drive DFX (Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Inspect, Lean) activities - interface with, design team, program management and suppliers QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum 3 years working experience in manufacturing industry. Working with manufactruing cost related activities. OTHER INFORMATION **Skillset(s) Requirement**: - Knowledge of fabrication processes and cost drivers. - Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost that are associated with each processes. To develop "Should Cost" model. **Attributes**: A strong work ethic, dependability and responsibility, possessing a positive attitude, motivated to grow and learn.
