Assistant Head/deputy Director

**Scope of Work**
- Long-term R&D strategic planning, coordination, and collaborations with ministries & public agencies, research institutes, institutes of higher learning, and industry sectors in digital technologies such as:
- AI and Data Science
- Communications and Internet-of-Things
- Digital trust technologies
- Cybersecurity
- Digital Twinning, Modelling & Simulations
- Quantum technologies
- Stakeholder engagements
- Alignment of Technology foresighting and masterplanning with national agenda as well as to optimise R&D investment portfolio
- Programme strategy development and design, execution and management, including planning for subsequent technology translation and commercialisation
- Development and reviews of digital technology capabilities
- Evaluation of research proposals
- Project reviews and management
**Requirements**:
**Assistant Head**:
- Engineering, IT, or Computer Science background
- 2 years of working experience in relevant fields
- Able to think strategically, analyse issues from different angles
- Exposed to a broad range of digital technologies, the digital industry, their trends, challenges, and potentials
- Proactive learning attitude, attention to details and results-oriented
- Able to deliver in complex environment within challenging timelines
**Additional Requirements for Deputy Director**:
- Engineering, IT, or Computer Science background
- 10 years of working experience in relevant fields
- Able to think strategically, analyse issues from different angles and devise comprehensive solutions
- Able to lead and mentor junior officers
