**Accountant - Blackpanda
**About the Role
The Blackpanda Finance team plays a crucial role in providing strategic financial support to the leadership team, maintaining integrity of the financial accounts, custody of Blackpanda’s assets and fostering transparent, accurate and timely information. This is in support of Blackpanda’s strategic growth across the Asia region over the next 5 years.

This is a 6 months contract role with the possibility of converting to full time in future. Applicants should be based in Singapore.

**Responsibilities**
- **Financial Recordkeeping**: Maintain complete and accurate financial records for Blackpanda group entities in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Philippines including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- **Financial Reporting**:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for each entity.
- **Reconciliation**:Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve any discrepancies.
- **Tax Compliance**:Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage the timely preparation and submission of tax returns for each entity, including GST filings.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:Collaborate within the finance team to assist in the creation of budgets and financial forecasts for each entity, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- **Audit Support**:Coordinate and provide support for internal and external audits, including liaising with auditors and facilitating audit processes.
- **Expense Control**:Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance the financial efficiency of the group.
- **Intercompany Transactions**:Manage intercompany transactions and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and eliminate discrepancies.
- **Liaison with Outsourced Partners**:Collaborate with outsourced accounting partners in the Philippines and Japan to ensure accurate financial data exchange and timely reporting.
- **Others**:Other duties and projects as required of the Accounting and Finance team from time to time.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years in managing full-sets of accounts.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, and Accounting software like Xero, Quickbooks.
- Experience with managing financials for SEA markets will be an advantage.
- Strong verbal, written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide good business partnering support.
- Good time management skills and ability to meet assigned deadlines in a fast paced working environment.
- Highly detailed, result oriented and organized in work.
- Ability to work with a multi-national team.
