**PURPOSE**

You will be part of a dynamic team to ensure venues in the Sports Hub are logístically ready to host a wide spectrum of sports, entertainment and lifestyle events. The position resides in the Technology & Data Division at Kallang Alive Sport Management Co. Pte Ltd and reports to the Head of Data Analytics & Governance.

The Manager/ Senior Manager, Data Engineering will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the organization's data services function, including vendor management responsibilities. This position involves overseeing data-related initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, and driving strategic decisions based on insightful analytics.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

You will be a team member supporting the team, the responsibilities/accountabilities include:
**1. Data Onboarding & Automation**:

- Analyze current business processes and collaborate with various departments to understand data requirements and identify opportunities to automate and simplify data-related workflows Develop technical solutions on big data platforms to address various business use cases.**2. Data Pipeline & Architecture**:

- Design and maintain data architecture to support business intelligence and reporting needs.**3. Data Governance**:

- Participate in data governance initiatives, including the construction of the company's metadata management system and data quality monitoring system.
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and roles. Spearhead data quality initiatives, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.**4. Vendor Management**:

- Manage relationships with external data vendors, ensuring quality and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Evaluate and onboard new data vendors, conducting thorough assessments of their capabilities Monitor vendor performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary.As a Team Member, you will assist to operationalise the above responsibilities, according to the value and areas of contribution you can bring to the team.

**REQUIREMENTS**

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management).
- 5 -7 years hands on experience with using a variety of ETL tools for data ingestion & processing. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure stacks / Microsoft Fabric is a plus
- Hands on experience with SQL, Python, Scala
- Experience with Data Governance tooling (Data Cleansing, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Catalogs)
- Experience in leading an engineering team. Strong sense of responsibility and good at communication and teamwork.
- Proven experience in a senior data management role, strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Passionate about solving complex and challenging problems.
- Familiarity with events / sports industry dynamics is a plus.
