**Job Title: AP Marine Container Advisor (Carrier Focus)**

The advisor helps manage relationships with marine carriers and the company’s strategic transportation logistics footprint across Asia Pacific. As a member of this team, you will be part of ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd (EMAPPL) Supply Chain and contribute to a growing chemical business.

This role is the lead operational interface with marine carriers ensuring reliable containerized ocean transportation of goods through supplier relationship management, demand forecasting alignment, volume allocation optimization, and stewardship of performance KPI’s. In addition to operational execution the advisor will drive continuous improvement through cross-functional and cross-regional collaborations, internally and externally, to support operations.

**What you will be doing**:
**Business Value Creation**
- Design container shipping network plan,, execute tender strategies, advise organization to capture market opportunities through collaborating and influencing without authority across manufacturing, procurement, logistics & distribution, product management, sales, customer services and S&OP to achieve results, leveraging the full strength and capabilities of ExxonMobil.
- Execute effective collaboration strategies with key external parties (shipping lines and freight forwarders) to ensure seamless operations to maximize current business value and sustain future integrated value

**Performance Management**
- Plan and implement a comprehensive performance management plan across all shipping lines that align with business objectives and growth.
- Be the focal person responsible for monitoring and stewarding performance to ensure KPI targets set are met and take the relevant actions when performance falls short
- Review structural processes with internal and external stakeholders to understand why performance is lagging or leading.

**Exception Management**
- Manage unexpected disruptions, working with quick response team to drive business continuity balancing between cost and speed

**Continuous Improvement**
- Analyze data, perform root cause investigations, and frame trade-offs prevent recurrence.
- Learn and share best practices and actively contributes to continuous process improvement activities; deliver results through problem solving and process improvement initiatives

**What you should have**:

- B. Sc degree preferably in container shipping related and/or supply chain management
- 6-8 years of experience in container shipping commercial or operations functions, in global or regional headquarter setup, with focus in Asia Pacific business
- Familiar with containerized shipping operations in AP including but not limited to: terminal handling, container transportation, intermodal, carrier management, regional regulations, import/export operations, tariffs, shipping rates
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and embraces internal and external changes and responds proactively to maintain productivity and competitive advantage
- Demonstrated ability to assess complex situations and discovers underlying causes and patterns of problems that are not obvious to others
