**Summary of Role**
- Provide leadership for all aspects of the division including academic activity, clinical service, operations, and growth
- Work closely with the General Manager to create efficient clinical services that deliver compassionate and evidence-based care for hospitalized patients, building a culture based on teamwork, open communication, excellent clinical care, innovation and accountability
- Oversee the implementation of the international care delivery strategy by focusing on both high quality of service and cost effectiveness

**Leadership and Direction**
- Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team
- Explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values
- Motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals

**Functional Strategy Formation**
- Contribute to the formation of the International Care Delivery strategy through specialist expertise and insights provided to the GM, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs

**Budgeting**
- Manage budget plans for area of responsibility; involves development and delivery

**Operations Management**
- Manage a significant operational area for the organization
- Collaborate closely with International Care Delivery supporting functions to implement the business plan within the assigned cluster

**Human Resources Frameworks and Tools**
- Draft Human Resources frameworks and tools for recruitment, performance management, development, career and succession planning, compensation and benefits, diversity, employee on
- and offboarding, and retention of talent, within an area of expertise to meet business or institutions needs, enabling attracting, developing, and retaining talent at a sustainable cost
- Ensuring compliance with specified design principles, internal policies, and external legal requirements

**Care Quality (Healthcare)**
- Hold responsibility for the management and implementation of a significant element of quality change initiatives or continuous operational improvements to support the creation of an environment that assures excellent patient experience, patient safety, and high-quality patient outcomes
- Identify and seek to address system level factors that induce or exacerbate ethical problems or impede their resolution

**Organizational Capability Building**
- Evaluate the capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities
- Implement the organization's formal development frameworks within the area of responsibility
- Coach and mentor others to support the development of the organization's talent pool

**Performance Management**
- Manage and report on performance within area of responsibility
- Set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these
- Take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives

**Knowledge Management**
- Develop policies and processes, create best practices, set up case studies, and deliver internal knowledge-sharing sessions to capture, and share knowledge on project/ program outcomes and innovative practices in a particular area of expertise to share knowledge among colleagues and to support the practice
- Maintains current knowledge regarding community and regional healthcare market and industry issues which may impact business

**Patient/Medical Records Management**
- Oversee the storage and retrieval systems (Electronic Medical Record system, including IT capability, policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements) in a part of the institution to meet the needs of the patients and the institution
- Monitor workflow, provide support resources as needed, and assure interoperability between EMR's and business management systems

**Quality, Legal & Compliance**
- Follow and comply with all relevant FME policies, guidelines, manuals and SOPs in the version as amended from time to time (“FME Policies”)
- Keep yourself updated about the current version of the FME Policies that are relevant for your role and integrate corporate values in daily business
- Ensure and monitor that policies and services of the function are compliant with Compliance Framework

**Qualifications**
- Over 6-10 years experience in substantial general work together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level
- Over 6-10 years experience in planning, managing and organizing resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework
- Proven track record as a business leader in growth, innovation, turn-around and cost cutting business environments, especially coordinating cross-country and cross-functional teams
- Professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or medical technology is a benefit
