A Project Officer (Research) position in Language Documentation is available in the Linguistics and Multilingual Studies Programme at Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing audio-visual linguistic data for archiving, including transcription and aligning text to sound files- Assist with the acoustic analysis of tone and phonological inventories of selected languages of NE India- Support the creation of electronic dictionaries for selected languages of Nagaland, NE India- Conduct directed research on linguistic typology- Perform light administrative duties- Revamp and maintain an existing web site for the NTU Language Documentation Lab

Job Requirements:
- BA with a major in linguistics is an essential qualification- Familiarity with the International Phonetic Alphabet and the ability to transcribe data- Sound research and writing skills- Familiarity with linguistic analysis and documentation software (e.g. Praat, Keyman,Toolbox/FLEX, Saymore etc) would be an advantage- Video-editing and website-building skills would be an advantage
