**About our group**:
Seagate Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) organization is managing Seagate’s Global external suppliers to develop, qualify and maintain a best-in-class HDD (Hard Disk Drive) component quality.

**About the role - you will**:

- Drive the quality, reliability, and operational performance of externally procured materials from the Mechanical commodity suppliers in Singapore, Batam etc. This includes managing the supplier process and working collaboratively across the Supply Chain to develop, implement, maintain, and monitor Supplier Quality. In addition, the person in this role works closely with Seagate Factory SQE teams and Process/Quality Engineering Team in our factories in Thailand and China.

**About you**:

- Ensure outgoing Quality levels of Mechanical commodity suppliers meet or exceed the incoming Quality & operational performance expectations of the Seagate factories.
- Support Seagate Customer Advocacy and Operations teams in the root cause determination of supplier related component issues & lead the 8D resolution
- Maintain SQE Detection vs Escape Quality Performance (R.E.D.) Metrics to hold our External Suppliers accountable and drive continuous improvement activities.
- Actively lead the development and implementation of our Industry 4.0 (Big Data Analytics) process and system at the external suppliers as part of our upstream detection improvement efforts.
- Actively lead the SQE Quality System improvement efforts to drive for system failure mode improvements and lesson learned feedback to the Design Center.
- Support Design Center Supplier Engineering teams in component qualifications on new products as part of the Supplier Volume Ramp Readiness process & oversee volume ramp in our Drive factories.
- Participate in “SQE Daily Issue” call and Hot Issue meeting with Wuxi/Korat Factory Product SQE and Field SQE teams for issue discussion to improve cross-site communication and issue alignment.
- Work with Factory Product SQE, Factory Process Engineering, Production and DE teams on supplier’s component design and process improvements to deliver and improve product/component margin, including FFU (Fit for use) related issues.
- Roll-up Monthly/Quarterly supplier RED Metrics report and review in Supplier Quality Scorecard (QSC) meeting and escalate to supplier’s upper Quality management on potential quality escapes and impact.
- Communicate and work closely with Suppliers Team on issue / excursion highlighted from Seagate factories and drive for JIRA/Webscar/8D resolation.
- Supplier QPM Trigger monitoring and collaborate with Factory Product SQE/IQC team to monitor supplier performance via data analysis to drive for continuous improvement.
- New supplier qualification, site survey activity supports, coordinate with Materials/CMT, DCSE and Supplier team to ensure qualification is achieved per milestone/timeline with smooth volume ramp.
- Review and support new part qualification, work with SQT, Factory Product SQE, Materials and Operations teams to ensure all component level requirements are met prior to drive SBR Qual.

**Your experience includes**:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5-10 years of supplier quality engineering (SQE) related experience
- Work experience in Stamping, Machining, Casting, Plastic components
- Possess good communication skills, 8D/problem solving/process audit experience
- A team player and able to work under minimum supervision
- Good command in English and presentation

**Location**:
The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available.
