The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within the DCM team at TD Securities is hiring for an Associate position on the APAC Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets Corporation Origination team in Singapore. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing team with high internal visibility at the senior executive level within TD Securities and the TD Bank Group. The position will provide a chance to gain transaction experience and a high level of responsibility in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. **Requirements**: - Works alongside and supports FIG Debt Capital Markets team covering clients in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, as well as identifying funding and capital needs and strategic opportunities across global debt capital markets - Establish a deep knowledge base of the global bond markets, identifying trends and originating unique ideas (liability management, structured transactions, etc.) - Play an integral role in the deal cycle from beginning to end, including taking ownership of pitches, deal documentation, sales memos, marketing, due diligence, execution, pricing, and settlement - Responsible for putting together weekly new issue pricing, presentations for meetings, and maintaining deal databases - Responsible for coordinating with various groups within TD: Syndicate, Sales and Trading, Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Market Risk Solutions, Global DCM teams. - Establish a deep understanding of TD’s capabilities across various products and geographies and how they can benefit TD’s client base - Interacting with TD’s DCM clients—keeping clients apprised of market trends, new issuance and headlines - Review a broad range of financial reports and identify impact to our client base: company filings, regulatory filings, credit research, rating agencies, recent earnings, equity reports, strategy, economic, etc. - Develop a solid fundamental understanding of the areas of focus for DCM clients, including plain vanilla debt financings, subordinated capital raisings, global financial regulatory frameworks, liability management, ESG financings, global financing opportunities (AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, USD), LIBOR reform/transition across global markets, etc. - Your position possesses specialized and expert knowledge of market data, financial information, key industry developments, and regulatory standards at all times to assist in maximizing profitability through sound business decisions.
