Area Segment Leader

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
**Lead Asia SPSD business collaborating with SPSD division team and cross-functional stakeholders that include Area, Country Sales & Marketing Leaders, Country Activation Marketers, Area Marketing Center and Area Digital Operations.**:
- Engage with stakeholders to drive SPSD business primarily for Biopharma purification business with using broad market insight.
- Develop and own Asia SPSD short-time marketing strategy and tactics in alignment with business goals and global strategies.
- Customize global marketing programs and strategies to fit local needs aligning with global strategies.
- Identify / define and execute Asia SPSD Area marketing programs to gain business pipelines.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Asia countries / regions to hold Exhibitions, Seminars or Webinars.
- Identify new customers and work alongside global key accounts to develop filtration solutions.
- Identifying or collaboration with potential partners to grow and expand 3M footprint in the respective market.
- Work with Activation Marketer in Asia countries / regions to ensure opportunities are updated and tracked.
- Manage business pipelines in Asia to set clear priority and identify / solve problems with hypothetical thinking to determine best solutions for complex problems.
- Work with Area portfolio to develop demand plans and execution plans in alignment with division strategic plan.
- International traveling is required in Asia for visiting key customers and subsidiaries to implement own marketing plans developed.
**External Market research for business insight**:
- Gain deep understanding for specific market relevant to SPSD business and provide insight to Asia countries / regions to generate leads and opportunities.
- Obtain the latest business environment and market insight with communicating with key customers in Asia.
- Develop implementation plans for market research with managing own budget effectively.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing is preferred
- Eight (8) or more years of sales & marketing function
- Management experience including market research and business insight
- Five (5) or more years of sales experience in Industrial business. Biopharma industry experience preferred
- Experience in building business plans / marketing plans
- Experience working in MNC environment with cross cultural exposure
- Filtration industry experience will be advantageous
- Filtration technology knowledge preferred
