DBS Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions - whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.
The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer.
**Responsibilities**:
The Business unit controller will be responsible for the following:
- Partner closely with Business in developing a deep understanding of key performance drivers to support strategic decisions and provide independent inputs on business financials/trends/ related issues.
- Oversee and drive MIS system and reporting implementation regionally through close collaboration with business partners.
- Actively participate in discussion and direction-setting on all key business performance indicators, e.g., revenue growth, expense management, profitability, RM productivity, Net New Money, AUM, etc.
- Perform deep and value-added analysis on the business performance using big data.
- Participate actively in annual planning process through discussions with business partners.
- Establish strong internal controls over the business financials and processes to comply with accounting and internal policies.
**Requirements**:
- Strong leadership and influencing skills; hands-on and delivery focused.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; highly driven and initiative-taker
- Strong and broad-based understanding of wealth management business and product dynamics, preferably in the Private Banking/High Net worth segment space.
- Degree in Accountancy or a Finance related discipline is preferable.
- Minimum more than 13 years of experience in management accounting/business planning/business strategy
