Singapore METTA WELFARE ASSOCIATION Full time

The children attend a 3-hour session programme twice a week. The multi-disciplinary team consists of teachers, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. They come together to discuss and set specific and measurable 1-year goals for the Individualised Education Plan (IEP) of each child. The IEP focuses on 6 domains: fine motor, gross motor, adaptive, cognitive, social communication and social skills.

Supported by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and Metta, we provide customised intervention programmes for these children in order to address their developmental lags, promote a satisfactory level of independence and realise their potential. Early diagnoses of their disabilities coupled with appropriate intervention programmes can help them cope with the disabilities, prevent the conditions from deteriorating and maximise their development and capabilities.

**1. **Main Responsibilities**
- Conduct Pre-Admission Screening for students who are referred to the centre
- Conduct standardized cognitive assessments and write reports for enrolment into special education schools or accommodation for students with learning challenges in mainstream primary schools.
- Develop and deliver behavioural plans for students with challenging behaviour
- Coordinate among key stakeholders to execute behavioural plan
- Provide caregiver training on developmental needs of the students

**2. **Other Responsibililties**
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by management
- To assist in fund raising events as and when assigned

**3. **Requirements**

**Experience**

Preferably with 1-2 years of relevant working experience

**Qualifications**
- Master of Psychology in Applied or Educational Psychology from an established university

**Other Requirements**
- It will be an advantage if you are holding or are eligible for full registration or membership as a psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) and/or other relevant psychological associations in the country you qualified in
