We are looking for a curious, motivated Investment Analyst to join our growing team in Singapore. This individual will be responsible for covering investments in Southeast Asia alongside the rest of the local team. Fit is key since we are a small global team that works very closely together

Who we are
- Investment arm of a global diversified media company, Hubert Burda Media
- We invest in consumer-facing technology companies at the growth stage (typically Series B and above) across the US, Europe, and Asia
- We share a deep passion for marketplaces, ecommerce, and new media - some of our

investments include Zilingo, Hmlet, Carsome, Ninja Van, Stashaway, Sweet Escape, and Priceza
- We work closely with our portfolio companies, usually holding a board seat and being closely involved in their strategic discussions and governance

What you can expect
- Being part of a small team of investment professionals, particularly investment managers and principals at Burda Principal Investments
- We are truly global - you will be discussing potential investments with colleagues around the world, and liaising with individuals within the broader Burda organization
- Preparing deep dives and sector research on relevant topics that you get excited about
- Being an integral part of the deal team: generating deal flow, executing market and commercial due diligence, developing core beliefs and investment thesis
- Assisting in managing our intern pool throughout the year
- We roll up our sleeves: post-deal and portfolio management including strategic and operational initiatives
- Networking is important - you will proactively represent Burda Principal Investment at events and in the ecosystem more generally

What do we require...
- University degree from a leading university and excellent academic record
- Ideally 1 years of relevant work experience, with a strong preference for investment experience within VC/PE but fresh graduates with an entrepreneurial mindset are welcome
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work independently, and to travel as required across the region
- Fluent in English. Fluency in a regional language beneficial, but not required
- Particularly, we look for someone curious, proactive, with a critical mind and own investment ideas
