DESIGNATION : Health Attendant

RESPONSIBILITIES

The jobholder plays an important supportive role to ensure that the cleanliness standards of the nursing home including the ward environment of the residents are met and maintained on a daily basis. He/she is also responsible to maintain a safe and neat environment for the residents.

**a. Housekeeping**
- Changing of bed linen and tidying of beds
- Ward cleaning
- Wash and clean washrooms
- Sweeping, mopping
- Cleaning windows and fans
- Cleaning of cardiac tables and lockers

**b. Landscaping**
- Watering plants
- Trimming/cutting grass
- Gardening

**c. Laundry**
- Sorted out linen
- Fold linen
- Sewing/mending of clothes

**d. Kitchen activities**
- Assist in serving meals and drinks
- Collect crockeries after meals
- Assist washing of crockeries

**e. Assist with General Duties**
- Answering of resident’s call-bell and gives assistance within the constraints of his/her responsibilities
- Assist in feeding of those residents that needed assistance

**f. Residents Activities**
- Assist in daily activities and exercises

**g. Other Duties**
- Assume any other additional responsibilities as assigned by Senior/Centre Nurse Manager/ Nurse/Centre Manager/Assistant Nurse/Centre Manager/Senior Staff Nurses
- Maintain good communication skills with residents and sponsors
