JOB FUNCTION: Head of Expert Team Asia 1LOD Risk

REPORTING TO: Head of WB APAC & COO Asia

The following outlines your job responsibilities which are summarised under the following main headings. The list is intended as a guideline only, it is not meant to be exhaustive and would be expected to change in time as the role develops.

**Overall Function**

Responsible for the leadership of the Regional Centre of Expertise in the Asia Region, comprising of Regulatory change & Operations, Business Controls/ERM, Data Management and Data Protection, Business Continuity management, Tax Ops, Sourcing Management, Agile Coaching, driving issues remediation across all functions and other topics of such nature.

Responsible for the implementation and translation of INGs internal policies and frameworks and external regulatory requirements to workable and sustainable solutions for the organization as a whole.

Business partner for Senior Management, Branch Management and functional expertise leads at Head Office, managing stakeholders whilst securing the needs for the Asia Network. Collaboration with all functions throughout the organization to ensure a safe and compliant business and operational environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Business**:Ensuring all business lines and support functions are enabled to address necessary external and internal regulatory or policy guidelines in their daily work, co-ordinate & support the delivery of requirements and assessments for adequate implementation of change initiatives, processes, procedures and outsourced services. Setting direction for standardization and centralization.

**Compliance**:Actively participate in, promote and advocate a strong compliance culture in all business lines and support functions for Asia with external regulations and internal guidelines.

**General Activities and Duties**
- Advocate and role model the orange code for all teams within responsibility
- Build efficient, effective and engaged teams.
- Prioritize and develop craftsmanship in the respective teams
- Promote the agile way of working and embed into teams
- Ensure end to end service delivery; close collaboration with regional stakeholders and service providers
- Manage services within budget

**Team structure**

**Business Controls**

Lead/Support and co-ordinate the implementation of INGs Internal Control Frameworks based on ERM methodology. Regulatory Change gatekeeper across APAC. Standardization of internal control in processes, facilitation of risk assessments and coordination of KCT efforts. Monitoring and reporting for Issue and incidents tracking for APAC wide issues. 1LOD Business risk Support for non-financial risk related matters.

**Regulatory Operations and Regulatory change**

Lead/support identifying and implementing improvement opportunities in existing and new KYC processes (including Customer Due Diligence and Transaction Monitoring), project manage and implement tooling and solutions that support the processes provide a variety of services in the KYC Value Chain. Co-ordinate and lead regulatory change implementation from a 1LOD risk perspective for APAC wholesale banking working closely with front office and support teams both regionally and in head office.

**Tax Operations**

Lead/Support identifying and implementing improvement opportunities for FACTA/CRS, USW, DAC6, QI processes and tooling. Responsible for adequate and timely regulatory reporting.

**Data Management and Data Protection (RCDO)**

Manage and execute the responsibilities pertaining to the Data Privacy Executives on a day-to-day basis. Owner of data protection procedures, responsible for awareness, monitoring, oversight and reporting.

Responsible for the design and the implementation of the Asia Data frameworks, and tis subsequent organization, in line with INGs Data Organization; responsible to oversee initiatives to bring data under governance for the Asia region.

**Sourcing and Service Management**

Monitoring, Oversight and Reporting on internally sourced arrangements and services. Support the organization is meeting sourcing requirements from relevant regulators and internal policies. Coordinate the regular sourcing reviews.

**Agile Coaching**

Hands-on Support on the methodology and rituals of the Agile One Way of Working.
