**Sr. Product Development Engineer**

**THE ROLE**:
We are the MI product engineering team providing test solutions for DGPU Datacenter New Product Introduction (NPI) under the Product Engineering Organization. We do exciting product development for groundbreaking technology that will power the next generation processors used for high performance computing, data centers, and enterprise servers. As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will work with and learn from AMD’s dedicated engineering teams around the world - design, platform, packaging, device analysis among others. You will learn the ins and outs of the microprocessor and how to harness it to produce the highest performance at the highest quality. You will be challenged to come up with innovative and creative ways to solve the complex problems that come with developing products using the latest technologies.

**THE PERSON**:
We’re looking for someone with a thirst for technical knowledge - willing to learn and impart knowledge to others. We want someone with an expert understanding of device physics and processor voltage and frequency behavior. A results-oriented engineer with good partner management skills which are essential when working with various teams across AMD. A strong and effective communicator, both verbal and written, which are crucial when working with a global team.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Deliver the product definition for AMD’s RTG products
- Deliver the best value in terms of power and performance while balancing strict quality requirements for AMD’s customers
- Engage with design, product and validation teams during pre-silicon planning, post-silicon bring-up, product definition, product validation, and product ramp
- Characterize new silicon designs and process technologies
- Lead planning activities and process improvements to improve time to market
- Drive yield and quality goals; Identify test, yield, and quality improvement opportunities

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:

- Strong experience working with power management features such as AVFS, DVFS, P-states, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis
- Proficient experience with data analysis tools such as JMP or Jupiter
- Familiar with concepts surrounding wafer fabrication processes
- Proficient in software programming and scripting languages (SQL, C, C++, Java, Ruby, Perl, Python)
- Proficient in Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems
- Knowledgeable in modern computer architecture

**ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS**:

- BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable disciplines
