The Safety Manager (Systems and Risk Management) will be responsible for overseeing and managing the risk assessments concerning the operations of Jetstar Asia, as well as conducting safety investigations. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, overseeing safety reporting matters, and promoting strong safety culture within Jetstar Asia. The Safety Manager will work closely with various Business Units (BUs) and stakeholders to conduct risk assessments, review safety management systems, and develop safety-related training programs. Additionally, the Safety Manager will provide support for the Flight Data Analysis Program (FDAP) and play a key role in safety education and promotion initiatives.

Reporting to the **Manager, Safety, **your key responsibilities include:

- Oversee the safety management system and all safety reporting matters, including CAAS Reportable Safety Matters:

- Ensure compliance with safety reporting requirements, including those specified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Reporting Safety Matters (RSM) guidelines.
- Coordinate and review safety reports submitted by various departments, ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of safety reports and related documentation.
- Manage the Risk Assessment of Jetstar Asia’s operation:

- Designated as the Bowtie Champion within the organization, collaborate with all relevant Business Units (BUs) to conduct bowtie analysis on significant risks.
- Lead and oversee the risk assessment for all operations, ensuring accurate and timely assessments are conducted.
- Collaborate with relevant Business Units (BUs) to identify and evaluate potential risks and hazards.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures.
- Regularly review and update risk assessment procedures to align with industry best practices and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor all Business Unit Risk Registers (BURR) to ensure Business Units (BUs) conduct regular reviews.
- Manage and conduct safety investigations:

- Oversee the investigation framework, ensuring that incidents and accidents are appropriately investigated.
- Conduct safety investigations.
- Coordinate investigations with relevant stakeholders and ensure the timely completion of investigation reports.
- Identify root causes and contribute to the development of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure that all corrective actions are promptly addressed and closed by the respective Business Unit (BU).
- Develop safety-related training programs:

- Design and develop online training for safety-related training programs, create engaging and informative safety training materials.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the LMS and make improvements as necessary.
- Additional responsibilities include providing support to the Flight Safety Quality Manager in the Flight Data Analysis Program, actively leading safety promotion initiatives, and overseeing and ensuring preparedness for conducting various safety meetings.
- Preferably with a bachelor’s degree in a safety or aviation-related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in safety management.
- Prior experience in managing safety systems.
- Proven experience in managing and facilitating risk assessments and conducting safety investigations.
- Good understanding of international and Singapore’s aviation safety regulations
- Exceptional writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
