[What the role is]
The Wildlife Management Division in NParks manages wildlife in Singapore, and engages the community on human-wildlife encounters in our City in Nature. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to be part of our team to help in feedback management, wildlife population management and stakeholders’ engagement.
[What you will be working on]
**Position 1 (Urban Birds) - Two positions available**
With a focus on urban birds feedback management and ecology based on geographic locations as well as involvement in mitigating other wildlife related conflicts, the work scope will range from public engagement, applied ecological research, direct conflict interventions and database management.
**Position 2 (Wildlife)**
With a focus on mammals feedback management and ecology as well as involvement in mitigating other wildlife related conflicts, the work scope will range from public engagement, animal management policy formulations, applied ecological research, direct conflict interventions and database management.
Apart from the specific job duties for each position above, you will also be involved in educational and outreach activities for schools and the community.
[What we are looking for]
- Advantageous to have relevant working experience in public engagement and working with animals
- Possess good writing, interpersonal and communication skills
- An organized, creative and resourceful team player who is able to work independently
- Able to multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties, including enforcement when required
- Enjoy working in an outdoor field environment
- Willing to work on weekends and after office hours
