Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with traders and operation team on all trade finance-related matters.
- Review contracts and provide feedback on payments, trade finance-related matters.
- Pre-check documents (e.g., invoices, LOI, and other documents) according to the terms and conditions of the export LC. Negotiate Letters of Credit (LC) formats with counterparties and ensure the accuracy and timely processing of LC/SBLC transactions (e.g., issuance, amendments, acceptance).
- Advise necessary amendments/revisions to ensure workability of all trade finance instruments. Monitor payments and resolve outstanding payment issues with counterparties.
- Work closely with internal (i.e., traders and treasury) and external stakeholders (i.e., banks and counterparties) to identify opportunities for optimizing working capital.
- Monitoring the daily financing needs for the company's trading activities and provide backup support for cash management. Monitor allocation of banking resources across various banks, ensuring effective tracking and utilization.
- Assist with facility renewals, account openings, and other operational tasks as required.
- Responsible for reporting trade finance activities.
- Assisting in the structuring of prepayments, specialized transactions, new business projects.
- Ensure that corporate risk policies, guidelines and controls are adhered to.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks, projects assigned by superior/management. Examples of these include feasibility studies on new markets/products feasibility, financial modelling on asset purchase, shipping and logistics optimisation studies.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting, Business or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of work experience in Commodity Trade, Operations or Shipping in roles as operation, trade or commercial analyst.
- Good knowledge of trade financing, Incoterms, trade operations, risk and hedging, financial analysis and modelling, ability to conduct market research, resourceful in finding information.
- Competent in using MS Office programs and A I resources to execute tasks.
- Mature, confident, able to work independently and within team in fast-paced environment.
- Being analytical and attentive to details.
- Knowledge of hedging, derivatives and structured trade finance in commodities, mining or shipping sectors would be helpful
