**Roles & Responsibilities**

The Data Engineer/Data Analyst acts as the bridge between the Insights and Tech team. Comfortable working with Big Data and blending data from multiple data sources to do basic data cleaning and transformation. They are analytical and capable of working with giant data sets. They use data visualization tools to prepare analytical overviews for the Insights Team to extract data. By communicating clearly with the Insights teams and the Tech team, they are able to problem solve any challenges with data sources, required transformations and visualisations.

You are **meticulous and cool-headed**, able to sieve through hundreds of thousands of data points and ensuring that data analysis requirements requested are completed within tight deadlines. You **communicate clearly**; work cohesively with multidisciplinary teams like anthropologists, social scientists and historians. You are a **problem solver**; relentlessly curious and eager to learn more to develop automated and logical data models and better visualisation tools.

What you will bring to Quilt.AI:

- Numerate and strong analytical skills with love for data crunching, visualization and reporting
- Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity
- A Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Social Science, or related degrees. We will also factor in relevant certifications (e.g. Coursera).
- Knowledge of Python data science tools
- Running of data extraction and scraping tools using Python
- Understanding of data visualisation and visual analysis techniques

Preferred (Additional requirements which are not necessary pre-requisites):

- Experience with Tableau data visualisation software
- Experience with social media listening tools
- Experience in model deployment
- Experience in project management
