**JOB SUMMARY**:
Responsible in delivering an engaging Japanese Mother Tongue Language programme to students from Primary Year 1 to Year 6.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Write and plan the TGI Japanese curriculum for different ability groups, aligned to Japanese National Curriculum for Japanese Language.
- Create meaningful language opportunities for students to promote, and strengthen fluency in Japanese Mother Tongue.
- Establish an effective and responsive classroom environment where students are active participants.
- Document student learning via appropriate assessment tasks, class displays, student portfolios, student twice-yearly reports, parent-teacher conference, and student-led exhibition.
- Responsible for all aspects of classroom management, which will include safety and hygiene of the children and resources of the centre.
- Work closely with other teaching staff in the class in carrying out the duties.
- Build and maintain close partnership with parents.
- Follow the TGI Professional Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Code of Conduct.
- Participate in Co-Curricular Activities, and camps.Any other related job duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Qualified and certified primary/ elementary teacher by the equivalent of Ministry of Education in their native country or where the qualification/ certification was obtained.
- Experience working in an international school in Singapore is preferred.
- Experience in teaching an inquiry-based curriculum.
- Strong believer of rigorous learning through differentiating content, product, process and the learning environment to meet students’ needs.
- Strong IT skills using Microsoft or Apple-based software.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
