Full-time - Mid-Senior

Genetic Design and Manufacturing (GDMC) is a next generation design and manufacturing organization focused on reducing time to clinic and patient for next-gen advanced medicines. We achieve that goal by partnering with and supporting early stage companies and investigators by bringing our expertise to bear on designing a novel modality and process to be transferable to manufacturing, and then progressing through manufacturing to scale-up for clinical trials in close partnership.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform daily experiments including the mammalian cell culture, recombinant protein purification and cloning
- Perform laboratory automation, and high-throughput screening
- Design assays to validate results
- Collaborate with manufacturing team
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment and general laboratory supplies
- General upkeep of the laboratory, including maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory management.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelors or higher in Biological Science and Life Science disciplines, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years prior research experience
- Experience with molecular biology with experience in cloning, mammalian culture and protein expression
- Experience with cell line development, media development and viral vectors will be valued.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, passion for science, committed to laboratory work and able to work flexible hours
- Ability to multitask, work independently and also as part of a team. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
