Job Title : HSE MANAGER (**BASED AT NIGERIA **)

Job Description & Requirements
- To provide site safety leadership; ensure site safety facilities in compliance with corporate safety standards; implement safety directives; improve safety performance and ensure safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
- Close communication with PM to reflect PM’s intention for the project and establish Safety management policies/tactics in line with PM’s intention.
- Responsible for dealing with authorities, client and consultants’ management.
- Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture.
- Conduct/coordinate workers’ training in the areas such as safety rules and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
- Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment, to identify potential hazards, and to ensure safety rules and regulations are in compliance.
- Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
- Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long term strategic safety planning and development
- Work within company policy in compliment with the Environmental Health and Safety rules.
- Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
- Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
- Order and maintain safety inventory including supplies and equipment.
- Any other tasks as assigned by your Supervisor/s

Minimum Qualification Level
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Building Construction Management/Civil Engineering)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Based in NIGERIA
- 3-YEAR CONTRACT
- US$8,000 to US$10,000 per month
