**Your New Role**
Create is the award-winning branded content studio for CNN International. We tell authentic stories that inspire and engage our audience. Through a data-informed process we deliver award-winning, relevant content to our audience of influential decision makers.
As the Senior Content Strategist for CNNIC Create, you will support the Lead Content Strategist in the delivery of concepts and creative proposals for branded content campaigns. You will work closely with the Lead Content Strategist, Audiences & Data, and Revenue Strategy teams to generate proposals at a high creative standard, in alignment of client KPI’s with CNN brand integrity, and build on audience insights to enhance user engagement.
**Your Role Accountabilities**
- Unpacking RFPs and Client briefs with a CNN audience-first mindset.
- Remain current on industry trends, competitor analysis and audience insight research.
- Preparation and presentation of pitch proposals inclusive of concept and strategy to sales teams, internal stakeholders and clients.
- Reviewing and employing performance data to inform and optimize our creative and strategic offering.
- Managing FTC and freelance strategists as and when needed.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Diligent in keeping up-to-date and active in researching creative approaches to better understand brand objectives, target markets, and industry trends.
- Knowledge and experience in producing Branded Content, Native or Sponsored Editorial content for a brand, agency or publisher.
- Excellent communication skills: writing proficiency and presentation ability to effectively communicate creative ideas to internal stakeholders and advertising partners.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset - our team has many specialties but one voice.
- A deep understanding of content channels and effective distribution systems (e.g. social platforms, SEO).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in managing internal or freelance talent IRL.
- Fluent in English, additional language proficiency (Japanese and Thai especially) a plus.
- General knowledge of a wide network of creative vendors.
- Previous experience in an international media publisher.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Dropbox, CMS tools, Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics and productivity platforms (Slack, Gantt, Workfront).
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships and contribute to a positive environment.
- Ability to work with confidential information with complete discretion.
