Senior Director, Business Finance

About the job:
The Red Hat Global Sales and Services Finance team is looking for a Senior Director of Asia Pacific (APAC) Business Finance team to join us. In this role, you will serve as the finance business partner to our APAC Sales and Services team. You will be responsible for planning, analytics, reporting, sales incentives, business partnering, governance, and process and program management. You'll use a combination of leadership, analytical, project management, and operational excellence skills to work with leaders across the organization and ensure that the APAC Sales and Services team receives the reporting, analytics, and forecasting guidance necessary to run the business. As a Senior Director, you'll need to be comfortable working with the highest levels of senior company leadership, guiding process improvement, developing and motivating high performers, and persuading across functions in a consultative business partnership role.

What you will do:

- Lead and develop the APAC team that supports the strategic direction, investment decisions, financial reporting, and analytics needs of the APAC Sales and Services teams
- Proactively participate in and shape business decisions with regional leaders, providing them with industry insight, best practices, and insights into other areas of Red Hat
- Manage the planning and forecasting for the region and work with the senior leadership and business team members to set sales targets and budget allocation to manage
- and increase organizational performance for the region
- Provide consultation and strategic insight to the regional leadership team, using sales metrics and data across all channels and products with industry insight, best practices, and insights into other areas of the business
- Create business expansion plans, sales annual plans, partnering with Sales leaders on preparing and reviewing investment proposals, validating operating expenses (Op Ex) requirements and ensuring optimal resource allocation and achievement of financial targets
- Hire, train, and mentor new associates as needed to fulfill the mission of the team
- Represent Global Business Finance team and the broader CFO team in meetings and discussion across Red Hat teams
- Innovate and guide best practices in the fields of reporting and analytics
- Manage strategic results while ensuring consistent delivery of tactical priorities

What you will bring:

- 15+ years of relevant experience in a finance department of an international, enterprise technology company; 5+ years of experience working in leadership roles
- Proven background working as a business partner to the highest level of sales leadership within the APAC region
- Demonstrated success as a financial leader with full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, managing top line and bottom line of an organization across multiple business
- segments and countries
- Experience running a business finance function in a multinational organization with proven knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Solid communication and inspiration skills with the ability to use business acumen to build close partnerships with sales leadership
- Experienced people manager and open leader able to recruit, motivate, and retain a team of experts in their field
