**The Stage Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of live entertainment and events, from sound and lighting to coordinating performers and ensuring smooth transitions between acts. They serve as the communication hub between artists, performers, DJs, technical crew, and management to ensure that every event is a success.**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Event and Show Coordination**:
**Pre-event Planning**:Work with the nightclub's entertainment team to understand the details of each event, including the schedule, the performers, special lighting, and sound requirements.
**Event Scheduling**:Coordinate and ensure timely transitions between performers, DJs, and other entertainers, keeping the night's schedule on track.
**Crew Coordination**:Communicate with sound engineers, lighting technicians, security, bartenders, and other staff to ensure all technical and logístical needs are met.
- **On-Site Management**:
**Oversee Set-Up**:Arrive early to ensure that the stage is set up properly, including sound, lighting, and any special equipment needed by the performers.
**Rehearsal/Run-Throughs**:For live bands, solo performers, or DJs, ensure a brief soundcheck or rehearsal is done, addressing any technical issues.
**Manage Performances**:Supervise live performances to ensure smooth transitions between acts, with careful attention to timing and technical cues (lighting, sound, etc.).
- **Technical Cueing**:
**Lights and Sound**:Ensure that the sound and lighting are properly adjusted and cue changes according to the show’s needs, following the DJ’s or performer’s cues.
**Music Transitions**:For events with multiple acts (e.g., bands, dancers, DJs), ensure smooth transitions between performances and proper timing for audio/visual cues.
- **Problem Solving**:
**Address Issues on the Fly**:If any problems arise, such as technical malfunctions or performer requests, address them promptly and effectively without disrupting the flow of the event.
**Back-Up Plans**:Be ready to step in with backup equipment, change the schedule, or adjust the program if something unexpected happens (e.g., equipment failure, performer delay).
- **Communication**:
**Between Performers and Staff**:Serve as the main communication point for performers, providing them with information such as the set schedule, soundcheck times, or any special requests.
**Manage Announcements and Changes**:Make announcements to the audience when necessary (e.g., introducing acts, providing safety reminders, or announcing event changes).
- **Health, Safety, and Compliance**:
**Safety Protocols**:Ensure the event complies with venue safety standards, including crowd control and fire safety, and that all performers have access to any necessary health and safety provisions.
**Crowd Management**:Work with security to ensure performers are protected, that the crowd is behaving appropriately, and that the space remains safe for all.
