**About the role**

As a QA Engineer at Pomelo, you will be presented with an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic QA team, working on QA/testing activities for exciting initiatives. You will be working directly within a Scrum team, responsible for execution of continuous quality assurance of the product increment.

You will perform both manual functional/exploratory testing, as well as designing/implementing automated tests. If you don’t have prior experience with test automation, this will be an excellent opportunity for you to pick-up some invaluable test automation skills. If you have prior test automation experience, you are flexible and open to exploring the tool stack (i.e. Cucumber, Ruby, etc.) that we have currently. That said, we are always exploring new tools/technologies as we adopt a continuous improvement mindset.

The quality of your testing experience is far more important to us than the technologies you have used in the past; we recognise that smart people can learn a new language or pick up a new technology relatively quickly.

Ideally, you have worked with cross functional development teams (i.e. API, Web, Mobile) who use agile methodology and have strong collaboration. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced international start-up.

**Skills and Experience**
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance/testing.
- Functional testing experience on different platforms (i.e. Web, API, Mobile App)
- Experience with test management and defect management tools, e.g. Jira (with Xray add-on), Quality Center / ALM, etc.
- Experience with 1 or more programming languages (e.g. Ruby, Python, etc.)
- Experience with automated testing tools/frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, etc.)
- Experience with CI tools is a plus.
- Good knowledge of software QA/testing processes and methodologies.
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification.
- 3+ years relevant software testing skills and experience.
- Relevant industry experience in banking & financial institutions, Fintech or payments is a plus.

**We’d like you to also have worked with the following principles and approaches**
- Writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Working with product owners and domain experts to understand requirements.
- Working with cross-functional teams for planning and execution of QA/testing topics
- Independent, quick learner, self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
- Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
