Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the IT Infrastructure and Telephony IT Operation for all the APAC IT Services ensuring uptime, security and performance meets or exceeds business SLA and T+L standards to enable the RCI APAC business revenue generation.
Essential Job Responsibilities Beginning with the most important, or in a logical sequence, describe 5 to 7 major responsibilities of this job. Provide detail as necessary to give an accurate, complete outline. Indicate the percentage of total working time spent on each essential responsibility. The total should equal 100%. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsibility #1 - IT Infrastructure and Telephony IT Operation (30% time) b. Acquires and maintains working knowledge of business processes and procedures c. Interfaces with other teams, vendors, and business as part of the service and support process d. Performs systems installation, administration, operations, maintenance, support, testing, upgrades, performance monitoring, business continuance, and documentation in accordance with company, vendor, and departmental standards, processes, templates, and tools e. Anticipates and identifies potential problems before they occur and implements solutions to minimize impact on projects and users. f. Ensures adherence to formal processes, standards and total quality practices in all activities g. Ensures hardware OS security, hardening, patch levels, are all consistent and compliant with Audit and Compliance policies and procedures h. Perform On-call support
- Responsibility #2 - Provide Expert End User Support (30% time) Work with the Desktop Technician II as a focal point of end user escalations to ensure end user support services meets or exceeds RCI APAC business SLA. Function as a backup for the Desktop Technical Desktop Technician II as needed and provide end user support for VIP.
- Responsibility #3 - Support Secure & Compliant Processes (20% time) Proactively participate in the vulnerability management preprogramme, researching and implementing solutions across the IT Infrastructure and Telephony technologies stack following Travel + Leisure minimum security baseline. Testing and supporting the roll-out of windows security update patches using Microsoft deployment methodology all managed technology stack. Ensure processes and technologies meet compliance requirements including but not limited to SOX, PCI and PII. Template Revised March 2018
- Responsibility #4 - Singapore Data Centre Operation (10% time) Proactively monitor Singapore Data Centre, carry out precautionary system maintenance to ensure that the center’s systems and network are functioning well. Coordinate with other support personnel and vendors to guarantee that uptime is maximized so that the data center can provide quality services while ensure Data Centre stays compliant following T+L Standards. Perform backups and file restores. Installing and configuring software systems and computer hardware, interacting with vendors and member in the IT Global organization through phone or in person to help them set up systems or troubleshot issues
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications State the specific levels of the following that are needed to perform the minimum duties of the job. a)
Education - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred but equivalent experience may be substituted b) Training requirements
- Microsoft Windows Server certification or equivalent experience required
- VMware certification or equivalent experience required
- ASPECT and AVAYA certification or equivalent experience required
- Cisco Meraki networking certification of equivalent experience required c) Knowledge and skills - Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrates strong technical and tactical thinking
- Possesses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. - Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Able to work and effectively communicate with IT management personnel, peers, and outside vendors.
- Security procedures - Microsoft Office 365 - Phone systems administration - Good at multi-tasking in a fast moving and changing environment - Strong work ethic.
- Good understanding of Infrastructure and end user concepts, methods, and strategies.
- The ability to learn quickly - Able to deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service, communication and technical documentation skills
