Summary

Senior Quality Engineer resides in the Quality Team within SSSQ Department. A Technical Specialist in aviation quality engineering management and reports to Manager, Quality in supporting the effective maintenance and implementation of aviation Quality Management System within Scoot.

You will primarily be responsible in Quality Engineering Reliability monitoring, Aircraft accident/incident investigation, and new aircraft enter into service. You will also provide support to the quality team in terms other quality management system elements.

**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Review and update Quality Division Manuals/procedures for the new fleet.
- Coordinating with CAAS inspectors for the induction of the new aircraft
- Perform aircraft inspection during customer ground checks and test flight to ensure aircraft condition meets all required design standards.
- Monitor and track RSM related to Quality and Engineering, assign RSM cases to QE team.
- Investigate Reportable Safety Matter (RSM) incidents and accidents relating to engineering and aircraft damage.
- Investigate lapses or non-compliance to CAAS regulations and/or Scoot procedures.
- Coordinate with service providers, Engineering, OEM and/or CAAS for the investigation of the incidents.
- Update the investigation details into ISMS and close the assigned cases in ISMS system timely.
- Liaise with FTM organisations and Engineering on the follow-up actions to rectify the critical recurring defects.
- Liaise with FTM organisations in the preparation of the renewal of the CoA.
- Review the CoA renewal package submitted by the FTM organisations and ensure it is complete and accurate before submitting through eSOMS for CAAS review.
- Review and issue Certificate of Maintenance Review (CMR) for assigned Aircraft.
- Review qualification and training of certifying staff nominated by local Maintenance Organisation and overseas line station certification.
- Conducting Scoot Documentation and Procedures training to line station MRO certifying staff and Scoot in-house Certifying Staff.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Degree in engineering, mechanical, aeronautical or related field and/or possess 5 - 6 years’ experience (in aviation industry preferably) managing aviation quality preferred.
- Preferably attended Quality Management System (QMS) Lead Auditor course or equivalent.
- Completion of CAAS M09 and M10 courses or equivalent.
- Possess a valid CAAS SAR-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of CAAS ANO, ANR, SAR regulatory airworthiness requirements, including ISO 9001 QMS principles.
- Possess good working experience in Quality auditing principles.
- Possess good working knowledge in the operations Fleet Technical Management or Maintenance and Repair Organization.
- Possess good experience in aircraft sales and induction would be advantageous.
- Familiar with commercial aircraft systems, maintenance activities amd its operations.
- Aircraft licensed engineer with A320 and/or B787 type rating and quality management knowledge role would be advantageous.
- Able to travel for work.
