The Managing Director of Private Equity is responsible for overseeing the firm's investment strategy, portfolio management, and overall performance. This role typically involves leading a team, managing deals, and ensuring the firm achieves its investment goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Investment Strategy:
Develop and execute the firm's investment strategy, including identifying investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and structuring deals. Devise and implement comprehensive private equity investment strategies aligned with the company's long - term financial goals and risk appetite.

Deal Souring and Execution:
Lead the end - to - end deal life cycle, from sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities to due diligence, negotiation, and transaction closure, ensuring favourable terms for the firm.

Portfolio Management:
Oversee the performance of the firm's portfolio companies, monitoring key performance indicators, providing strategic guidance to enhance growth and impact. Drive operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and exit planning for portfolio companies to maximize returns.

Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of investment professionals, providing guidance, performance feedback and support. Allocate resources effectively across investment projects. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting cross - functional teamwork and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with other departments within the firm.

Fundraising:
Lead fundraising efforts to secure capital from limited partners (LPs). Develop compelling investment propositions and presenting to potential investors.

Investor Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationship with existing and potential investors. Provide updates on portfolio performance, investment strategies, and market trends, and address investor inquiries and concerns.

Government Relations:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, national, and international government entities, regulators, and policymakers. Stay informed about regulatory changes, policy developments, and government initiatives that may impact the private equity industry and the firm's investment portfolio.

Public Relations:
Represent the firm in public events such as conferences. Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the firm's reputation as a leading private equity player. Collaborate with portfolio companies to support their PR efforts, strengthening the overall brand image of the firm’s investment portfolio.

Stakeholder Management:
Identify, establish and maintain relationship with government entities, financial institutions, intermediaries, industry players, medias and other stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyse the firm's investment performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Market Research:
Conduct industry and company research to identify trends, sectors and attractive investment opportunities.

Financial Modelling:
Develop and analyse financial models to evaluate investment proposals.

Legal and Operational Expertise:
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as manage the firm's operational aspects.

**Job Requirement**:

- Minimum of 8 years in business leadership role in leading financial institution
- Demonstrated experience in managing government relations, public affairs, financial regulators, corporate communications in a corporate or financial institution
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business or economics is required. A master's degree in finance, business or economics is preferred
- Accreditation as a CFA or CPA is considered a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Meticulous, committed, team player and able to work under pressure
- Great understanding in cross regions and cross capital markets
- Familiar with various equity and fixed income financial products/instruments
- At least 15 years of relevant work experience in capital market, investment, or corporate finance (M&A) from investment banks, listed esteemed financial institution
