Lonza is currently looking to hire a **Associate Engineer, Maintenance**. Role is responsible to execute daily routine and repair work orders as assigned. The role will perform basic troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and carry out basic repairs on production equipment/ systems or report back to Engineer/Manager. Position will escort vendors/service providers for routine maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status. And promptly inform the Engineer/Manager of any incidents or events, irrespective of the nature and severity.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Execute daily routine and repair work orders as assigned.
- Be vigilant on safety to ensure jobs are done in a safe way and maintaining a high level of GMP compliance.
- Ensure all maintenance works are duly carried out as scheduled and in compliance with Engineering standards and procedures.
- Perform shift if required and respond on-call for maintenance/service breakdown and support ongoing operations.
- Basic troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and carry out basic repairs of production equipment/ systems or report back to Engineer/Manager.
- Escort contractors, vendors/service providers for maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status.
- Promptly inform engineers of any incidents or events, irrespective of the nature and severity.
- Keeps all areas clean and well organized
- Communicate to Engineer/Manager when encounter non-compliance issues including work delay, breakdown, missing parts etc.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by Engineer/Manager, inclusive but not limited to the above.

**Key requirements**:

- Diploma or a relevant Trade certificate with relevant work experience in process equipment & maintenance in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology, O&G industry.
- Hands-on production equipment’s/systems operations, repair and maintenance. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- With strong hands-on technical skills or willing to be hands-on on Utilities system/ process equipment.
- Detailed and Quality conscious.
- Ability to follow SOPs and instructions.
- Diligent in performing operational checks.
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to lead a small group of contractors for PM.
- Willing to lead and support on maintenance continuous improvement projects.
- Good Communication skills.
- Excellent Team player.
- Able to work on rotating Shift.
