We work across the enterprise to deliver excellence in pricing strategy and execution, the development and implementation of integrated access strategies, shaping of the external access landscape and innovation in patient access models and solutions. We work collaboratively across the enterprise and with regional and local market teams to drive sustainable patient access.
As Regional Market Access leader for Asia Pacific, you will lead a team of Market Access professionals to expand access and defend company products across the Oncology, Vaccines, and General Pharmaceutical franchises in this region. Reporting into the Global Market Access organization with a dotted line into Regional President Asia Pacific. With the increasing Oncology portfolio and evolving competitive landscape, the key area of focus will be oncology followed by vaccines.***
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
- Align Asia Pacific Market Access business priorities and deliverables as part of the regional leadership team.
- As a core member of the Global access strategy team, share best practices across regions and provide market input into our global product access plans to ensure the needs of local payers are met. Ensure that we advance innovation in enabling affordability solution for the region.
- As a core member of the Asia Pacific External Affairs Forum, ensure an integrated approach to shape the external pricing and reimbursement landscape. Collaborate with research functions (Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Center for Observational & Real-World Evidence (CORE), and Global Clinical Trial Operations) to ensure appropriate data generation for the region enabling reimbursement.
- Increase access acumen across the region by creating a structured learning platform and consult on the key capabilities and competencies required in our markets to be successful in addressing future access challenges
- Represent the AP region in global Market Access teams and direct execution of the global access strategy for priority products across all franchises.
- Lead and develop a team of 3 direct reports who are individually responsible for geographic or franchise-aligned assignments.
- Support the markets with access challenges and provide support of access and pricing negotiations
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of the payor landscape across the region, including barriers and opportunities.
- Support internal communications on Market Access successes and challenges in the AP region.
**WHAT YOU MUST HAVE**:
To be successful in this role, you will have strong technical and leadership skills as well as business capabilities.
- BA/BS or Master’s degree in business administration, health policy, or health economics (or equivalent)
- **At least 5 years of oncology experience, including at senior management level, in market access, health economics, outcomes research, or pricing in the pharmaceutical industry**
- **Evidence of strategic and analytical thought and a proven track record of success in executing access strategies.**
- **Proven ability to establish influential relationships with key internal and external stakeholders**.**
- Ability to navigate the market access environment, with demonstrated success in identifying optimal routes to reimbursement that are consistent with the global strategy and in a rapidly evolving market access landscape, as well as addresses country requirements for HTA and/or tender processes
- Capability to interpret information across customers to influence external decision-makers with the goal of understanding and taking better care of patients
- Ability to leverage networks and information across digital, access, CORE, policy, and marketing
- Experience in leading with informal and formal authority, managing through ambiguity, and ability to communicate clearly in a matrixed environment.
- Passion for developing future leaders and engaging a diverse multi-generational workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and make resource trade-offs across the portfolio.
