Micron's Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while working in partnership with team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors. Equipment Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues.

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
- Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
- Rebuilds testing equipment as required
- May perform equipment modifications.

**Minimum Qualification**:

- Ability and willingness to be flexible to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic PC skills including MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic problem solving skills

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- AAS in Electronics Engineering or equivalent, including military training
- Technical hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with industrial scale electromechanical systems and subsystems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals, and engineering sketches
