**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Job Highlight**:
- Actively involved in new business development; able to anticipate and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Build appropriate channel differentiation strategy and deliver profit.
- Establish strong commercial relationships with key customers & local partners.
**Key accountability for both Singapore and Malaysia's markets includes:
**Sales function**:
- Researching the country or region thoroughly and adapting strategies accordingly.
- Integrate and analyze historical data in conjunction with local market conditions to make reasonable cargo receiving strategies or plans and achieve target set by the headquarters.
- Supervise the team in collecting market information and provide real time feedback to the headquarters' Trade department.
- Responsible for quarterly Business plan to increase revenue and reducing costs according to local conditions and market trends.
- Implementing an effective brand strategy and ensuring consistency to improve the team's overall sales capabilities.
- Responsible for monthly/ quarterly/ annual reports submission to Headquarter.
**Employee Management**
- Responsible for recruiting and managing all employees under his/her country office. In addition, it is also responsible for monitoring the performance of subordinate employees, advising them on professional skills, and organizing training programs to improve employee productivity.
- Convey CULINES Group's direction, and information to the team member.
- Conduct regular employee training to enhance the team's service awareness and combat effectiveness; discover potential employees, reserve talent for the company.
**Financial Aspect**:
- Leads the business with full P & L responsibility, strategic business planning and budgeting for all organization operations and commercials.
- Ensures optimum performance, financial goals, commercial and operational excellence are achieved.
**Operational Aspect**:
- Establish operating budgets and create detailed annual business plans. At the same time, it is also necessary to ensure that the monthly, quarterly, and annual targets are met in terms of revenue, profit, and finance.
- Maintain good relationship with terminals and depots and strive for the company's best benefits in case of emergencies.
- Collecting/sending CBF; Update daily vessel schedules and container status in system, daily cargo and financial reconciliation.
- Routine sales operations like customer code creation, booking, customer development and maintenance, etc.
- Any other duties may be assigned by the Management.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Maritime Studies with Specialisation in International Trading, Second Major in Business, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of how a business operates and proven track record demonstrating understanding and business acumen for Singapore & Malaysia market.
- Minimum 5 years in managing P&L for the container shipping / freight-forwarding (ocean-freight) industry with business acumen.
- Hands-on experience in growing the commercial aspects in the container shipping / freight-forwarding (ocean-freight) industry.
- A good knowledge base of the country/region, and a willingness to learn.
- Entrepreneurial and commercially driven with strategy.
- Experience of living abroad is desirable and need to be sensitive to cultural differences.
- Problem-solving aptitude, Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership, and both written and verbal communication skills.
- Good ethics and professional conduct, with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
- Strong organizational management skills, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking associates verbally/ in writing whenever appropriate.
