We currently offer the following position in our office in Singapore which will be onsite.

**Supply Chain Analyst (Buyer)**

**Overview**

You will be responsible to ensure timely supply of materials to Production. You are also expected work on inventory turn improvement and work closely with suppliers to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targets are met.

**Responsibilities**

**Demand Managment**
- Ensure consistent material supply to Production to meet build plan.
- Utilizes appropriate Kanban pull options to achieve balance between assurance of supply (AOS) and inventory control.
- Work closely with Order Fulfillment, Planning and Production to manage the dynamic changes in demand.

**Supplier Management**
- Ensure Supplier On-time-delivery (OTD) performance target is achieved.
- Work with suppliers to ensure agreed safety stock level is maintained.
- Work with suppliers on matters pertaining to open liabilities, demand fluctuations, forecasting.
- Ensuring supplier information and purchase related information in SAP are kept up to date.
- Build rapport with suppliers.

**Inventory Management**
- Work on action plans to drive towards design inventory level and achieve desired inventory turns.
- Use Inventory Management at Gemba (IMAG) methodology to track cell inventory are within guidelines.
- Implement counter measures on root causes to minimize stock-outs.

**Daily Management**
- Place purchasing orders (PO) to suppliers according to dynamic kanban process.
- Provide timely update to Planning and Production on material availability or supply risk.
- Ensure all necessary Daily Management (DM) boards and charts are updated promptly.
- Conduct kanban audits, identify gaps and drive for improvements.
- Clearing of blocked invoices and recovery on past due purchase orders (PO).
- Review Daily Usage (DU) periodically.
- Work with suppliers on stock-out recovery plans.

**Process improvement**
- Participate DMS kaizen events and other department improvement projects.
- Review process gaps and implement standard work to improve processes.

**Others**
- Comply and adhere to the company Quality Management System and Environment, Health & Safety requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
- Utilizes DBS Lean tools to drive continuous improvement with sustainable results.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain discipline with at least 2 years purchasing experience in an MNC environment
- Diploma in Engineering or Supply Chain discipline with at least 3 years purchasing experience in an MNC environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Hands on knowledge on SAP R/3 or related ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Exposure in LVHM environment (Low volume High Mix)
- Exposure to Kanban Systems
- Language proficiency in English and Chinese
- Minimal travel
