**Job Title**:Preschool Teacher**:
**Reports to**:Principal / Centre Leader

**Job Overview**:
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The teacher plans and delivers age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote holistic development — including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth — while building strong relationships with children and families.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Teaching & Learning**
- Plan and implement daily lessons and activities based on the centre’s curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Create fun, hands-on learning experiences that promote curiosity and exploration.
- Observe, document, and assess children’s progress regularly to support their individual learning needs.
- Provide guidance and scaffolding to encourage independence, problem-solving, and positive behaviour.

**2. Classroom Environment**
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised classroom that supports learning and play.
- Prepare learning materials and set up learning corners that stimulate creativity and discovery.
- Ensure children’s health, safety, and emotional well-being at all times.

**3. Parent Communication**
- Build positive and respectful relationships with parents and families.
- Communicate regularly about children’s progress, behaviour, and development.
- Work collaboratively with parents to support learning both at school and at home.

**4. Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with co-teachers and teaching assistants to plan and carry out classroom activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
- Contribute ideas to improve curriculum delivery and classroom practices.

**5. Professional Conduct**
- Uphold the school’s philosophy, values, and policies.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching knowledge and skills.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent).
- Registered with the relevant early childhood authority (e.g., ECDA if in Singapore).
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, caring, and passionate about working with young children.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

**Work Conditions**:

- Full-time, Monday to Friday (some weekends for school events may be required).
- Classroom-based role with active interaction with children throughout the day.
