**About the role**

We are seeking a System Architect to lead solution and system design that meets client needs, supports their business goals and their implementation of a geospatial strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leveraging best-practice enterprise geospatial system design and architecting standards to ensure system performance, scalability, availability and security that meets client system requirements
- Reviewing system architecture design and capacity sizing to ensure it meets client expectations for system availability and performance
- Documenting system architecture and driving formal communications with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system constraints and key impact factors are respected and complied with
- Developing a framework to equip team members with system and solution design fundamentals to support and expedite design processes
- Providing internal training to build up team member knowledge in system architecture
- Maintenance and administration of the team’s cloud and on-premise demo environment
- Testing standard deployment patterns for solutions to ensure that they can be practically implemented
- Managing cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure technology partners

**About you**
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, GIS, or a related field
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in system architecting or leading roles in system implementation for large enterprise systems. This includes:

- Identifying and tracking critical aspects at system and network level
- Familiarity with system and networking components including firewall configurations, network load balancers, domain controllers, etc.
- Establishing verification criteria to ensure critical aspect validation within constraints of the system architecture
- Defining internal and external interfaces at system and/or network level
- Resolving and optimising implementation gaps that deviate from architecture patterns and standards
- Proven experience in architecting, implementing and deploying systems for on-premise, hybrid and Cloud-hosted environments
- Strong knowledge of system design, architecture, implementation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate and explain design decisions
- Effective presentation and relationship building skills
- Experience with architecting high security systems and knowledge of cybersecurity principles are strong advantages
