**Position Description**:
The APAC Communications Leader will be responsible for the development and implementation pan-regional strategies that shape corporate reputation and strengthen stakeholder engagement throughout the APAC region. The role requires an ongoing, proactive and thoughtful assessment of the external regional environment, business priorities and key trends to plan, develop and execute impactful strategies and programs. The Leader will develop and nurture a strong team of two Corporate Affairs professionals, and work in close collaboration with in-market colleagues (ANZ, Metro Asia, Southern Asia, Japan and China), business leaders, cross-functional teams, and global colleagues across the GCA function.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensures a robust stakeholder and issues management strategy is developed and executed for regional business priorities.
- Monitors the internal and external environment to ensure corporate integrity is established and fostered consistently across the culture, products and services, leadership, and all operational aspects of the business.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Company’s Asia Pacific business including our people, operations, and external operating environment.
- Creates and executes strategies to shape and influence corporate reputation in partnership with the business.
- Works collaboratively with the global external affairs organization to represent Asia Pacific on projects, councils and appropriate subcommittees to ensure functional representation (e.g. lead communications sub-committee for trade asscociation).
- Provides advice and collaborates with key business leaders on media relations to develop sound business strategies and, as needed, crisis management.
- Develop and implement integrated multi-stakeholder public relations programs to drive business objectives and enhance the company’s reputation.
- Provides guidance for executive/senior level stakeholder engagement on Healthy Lives, Global Community Impact and Sustainability programs.
- Acts as a leader in crisis management for issues that may occur pan-region.
- Develop and implement integrated, employee engagement programs to drive business objectives, talent development and employee retention.
- Serve on the Asia Pacific Corporate Affairs Leadership Team and Asia Pacific Healthy Lives Counsel contributing to strategic decision making in setting the direction of the business.

**Qualifications** Position Requirements**:

- University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent is required.
- ~10 years’ related media/business/government facing experience particularly in advocacy, stakeholder engagement and policy making.
- Strong track record in shaping the Asia Pacific external environment.
- Extensive experience in formulating and leading significant issues management and government relations.
- A deep knowledge of the industry regulatory & healthcare policy environment coupled with a strong ability to clearly articulate a plan that enables NCHC to understand the risks, opportunities and implications of industry/government initiatives that may impact the business with strategies to manage issues both proactively and reactively.
- Ability to interface, develop rapport, and be articulate with Senior Leadership from NCHC and with external high-level positions (Heads of State, Political Leaders, Regulatory Leaders, etc.).
- Fluent English is required, other language proficiency is a plus.
