We are seeking a

Pricing Actuary

for our reinsurance office in Singapore.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Price property, casualty, engineering, and marine/energy reinsurance treaties in the APAC region - including documentation of results and methodologies.

Collaborate closely with the underwriting team to understand the exposure, the market dynamics and the cedant specifics to establish and discuss the price sensitivity to the assumptions

Communicate key pricing factors during underwriting Roundtable discussions.

Provide analysis of actuarial model parameters, e.g. trends, rate changes, and exposure curves to precisely reflect market conditions

Support Management, Finance and Compliance for regulatory reporting.

Train interns on the basics of reinsurance and pricing processes.

Conduct other ad hoc projects as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience

Strong mathematical/statistical background - Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.

Fellow or Associate making good progress with a recognised actuarial society.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in APAC reinsurance pricing

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), capable of conveying technical concepts to underwriters/clients using non-actuarial language and willingness to engage constructively with other teams.

Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail with curiosity/enthusiasm for continuous improvement.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of programming is a plus.

Capable of managing workflow and meeting deadlines.
