**BBC Chartering** is one of the world leading companies in transportation of non-containerized goods, head-quartered in Leer, Germany. We operate a diverse fleet of more than 140 modern multipurpose vessels with lifting capacities up to 800 mts in 30 offices around the world. We are constantly developing the portfolio of vessels with a substantial new building program where the trend is larger vessels with higher lifting capacity.
- Due to the continuous expansion of our activities, we are looking for an Operator for our Office in Singapore.

The main tasks are:

- Close coordination of the day-to-day operational activities (port call planning) for German controlled projects
- Preparing and issuing orders including but not limited to voyage, loading and discharge instructions
- Liaising with customers, receivers, port agents, head operators in Germany, internal departments and overseas offices to ensure efficient operations
- Managing vessel voyage accounts, laytime calculations, collecting freights and demurrages
- Overview of the financial aspects of the particular voyages
- Following up on documentation matters (cargo documents B/L) and coordinating with our documentation department in Germany

As Vessel Operator you are an energetic person able to cope with a challenging fast paced working environment having the skills to make decisions to the benefit of the company. You provide several years of operations experience with mpp/project cargo carriers or alternatively have a nautical background. You have good communication; interpersonal and intercultural skills and you have the ability to make things happen also when working in that segment.

**Job Requirement**
- Your key qualifications:

- Diploma education or university studies in ship brokerage/operations
- High sense of team spirit
- Good communication skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced working environment where the waves at times can be high
- Ability to work independently and take decisions based on a sound commercial awareness
- Capability of handling numerous projects simultaneously and see changes as opportunities
- Computer literate, skills with IMOS would be an advantage, Navision and Sedna
- 5 years' experience in operations of multipurpose and heavy lift vessels
- Fluent in English both written and oral
- Excellent problem-solving skills and highly analytical person
- Good team player
