**Duties**:
**As a Program Manager (Knowledge Management), you will**:

- Create new and find innovative uses for existing communication and collaboration techniques to connect staff across the FHWA through improvement of effective and efficient workflows, sharing knowledge and improving organizations’ employee productivity and best business practices.
- Develop and lead KM strategies and programs specific to increasing FHWA knowledge transfer and collaboration by assessing knowledge need and agency priorities.
- Play a critical role in advancing the Discipline Support System (DSS). Work closely with the Discipline Council in carrying out the discipline council action plan and the implementation of discipline-based learning activities. Provide program management expertise to the agency’s discipline seminar program, including scheduling, planning, budgeting and execution.
- Envision, create, and manage unique KM programs to highlight FHWA-wide achievements, and create and manage legacy systems to categorize, track, store, update and distribute FHWA knowledge.

**Qualifications**:
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.

**To qualify for the Grade 13**, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:

- **Experience managing knowledge sharing or training programs, working with collaboration tools, such as those in the O365 suite or other similar technologies, and implementing knowledge management strategies and initiatives to increase knowledge transfer and collaboration.**

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
