**Sensory & Consumer Insights Panel Leader, Savory**
This position will actively contribute to the management and maintenance of the trained panel, including day to day operations & the provision of assistance with recruitment & training activities. Playing a critical support to Category SCI Scientists in executing, analysing & reporting Sensory & Consumer Science projects using both trained and internal sensory panels. Ensuring the management & maintenance of the Sensory & Consumer Science laboratories in infrastructure, equipment, and materials for operations. In addition, this position provides an exciting opportunity to make an impact to the Sensory & Consumer Insights capabilities & development in a highly collaborative working environment with supportive colleagues here at Symrise.

**The Position**:

- Working as part of a project team, the Panel Leader will liaise closely with SCI Scientists and other team members to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Following a clear brief, conduct discrimination and descriptive sensory evaluation tests, this includes but is not limited to test setup, panel training, data collection, topline data analysis and report writing.
- Continuing towards capabilities development and the introduction of new methods, receive instructions and training in applied sensory science methodology from the SCI Scientists and other team members. Ensure efficient translation of such instructions into everyday activities.
- Responsible for a healthy, safe, and hygienic working practice for all tasks undertaken. This includes but is not limited to the preparation and presentation of food samples in a manner consistent with project design, paying due diligence to safe food preparation and evaluation protocols.
- Proactively contribute to Sensory and Consumer Insights capability maintenance and development.
- Support Trained Panel management and continued development.
- Support SCI Scientists and other Team Members in the regular review and revision of operations.
- Engage in regular exchange of ideas with members of the SCI Team.
- Contribute to the development of the one-Symrise Ways of Working, culture, and environment.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology or Psychology, Consumer Science.
- Min. 2 years of Sensory Science experience working in the food industry or related fields, showing a good working knowledge base, and understanding and must be self-motivated to meet deadlines for all requests.
- Good command of English language both written & verbal, equipped with strong interpersonal and communications skills to manage the sensory panel.
- A strong team player with good track record in ensuring team timely delivery of documents as per customer demands and lead time.
- Good work ethics (Diligent, Responsible & Reliable).
- Ability to understand & interpret relevant rules and regulations with a strong sense of initiative.
