**About our group**:
Seagate Research Group (SRG) conducts research to transform Seagate’s considerable technical expertise, innovation, and manufacturing excellence to develop innovative technologies for the rapidly growing datasphere.

**About the role - you will**:
As an intern in our dynamic team, you'll be supporting in implementation state-of-the-art Machine Learning algorithms across a variety of exciting projects. These include:

- Developing Ensemble Video and NLP Neural Networks for advanced Surveillance Applications.
- Optimizing data flow and storage solutions.
- Creating innovative AI solutions for edge computing.
- Conducting AI-Workload profiling and analysis.

**About you**:
We are looking for someone who is:

- A self-motivated and independent learner with a strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, statistics, optimization, and calculus.
- Proficient in understanding Machine Learning and Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Familiar with various ML approaches, including Supervised, Unsupervised, and Reinforcement Learning.
- Keen to stay updated on the latest ML developments and trends, such as Generative AI, Transformers, GPT, GANs, Autoencoders, and Diffusion AI.
- Possessing a proactive, can-do attitude, with a perpetual curiosity and willingness to learn.

**Your experience includes**:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python, with experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, R-programming, and a lower-level programming language (C/C++ or Java).
- Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Machine Learning for Video Analytics and NLP.

**Location**:
The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass transportation to work.
