Site Procurement Lead

The incumbent will be a key member of the site leadership team responsible for developing and achieving site procurement strategies and bets. The incumbent will also work closely with Asia Strategic team and Asia Buying Centre team to align priorities and translate site requirements into actionable procurement strategies, and ensuring delivery of efficient services to the site.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide guidance and ensure compliance to laws, regulations and internal Compliance Standards relevant to the routine purchase and delivery of site materials and services.
- Actively engages with site leadership on operational expectations and priorities, identify opportunities and update action plans. This includes managing small capital projects at the site.
- Clearly understands site’s procurement spend profile, supplier base, single and sole source risks and contractual position with key strategic suppliers. Identify gaps, savings opportunities and actions to minimize supply risks.
- Works closely with the regional commodity managers in the Asia Strategic team to align priorities, analyze category spend to identify opportunities for leverage, standardization and aggregation.
- Works closely with Asia Buying Center team to ensure effective, efficient requisition-to-pay transactional support. Monitor metrics, facilitates improvements and waste elimination.
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a plant environment
- Experience in MRO, packaging and/or production supplies purchases will be advantageous
- Familiarity with contract drafting and contract management will be advantageous
- Working knowledge of Import and Export procedures
- Good business acumen, critical thinking skills and resourceful
- Possess strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to work with people at all levels
