Work Hours:
Monday to Thursday : 8am to 5pm and
Friday : 8am to 4.30pm with 0.5 hour lunch break)
Contract Period: 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025
Job Responsibilities:
1. The Support Assistant shall report to the School’s HOD Science and HOD Student Development.
2. The job scope includes the following:
- Support the preparation and maintenance of Science resources
a. Prepare resources (as requested by teachers) for science lessons and activities for Primary 3 to 6 students
b. Ensure that equipments and materials are kept away after completion of activity or lesson
c. Housekeeping of science labs and equipment and ensure that they are well-maintained
d. Maintain inventory of lab equipment and materials and conduct stocktaking regularly
e. Assist HOD Science in inventory count of materials to replenish stock
f. Assist HOD Science to implement general safety measures for science labs and assist in monitoring
g. Oversee lab schedule for science lessons
h. All cleaning duties of the science labs
- Support operational needs of the IBEEP room (activity centre)
a. Loan out games to students
b. Manage students safety and discipline at the activity centre
c. Create simple resources and manipulatives (materials will be provided) as directed by school.
d. Housekeeping of activity centre (ensure that equipments and materials (e.g. Lego sets, Playstations etc.) are clean and well-maintained)
e. Maintain inventory of IBEEP equipment and materials and conduct stocktaking regularly
f. Assist in setting up the IBEEP room for school events/activities
g. Support school programmes as required
h. All cleaning duties of the ibeep room
- Other duties
a. Any other duties as assigned by School Leaders, HOD Science, HOD Student Development or Administration Operations
b. Support Operations Manager in maintaining cleanliness of the science labs and IBEEP room.
Job Requirement
a) Should preferably have GCE ‘O’ level
b) Should preferably have 2 years of experience in science lab support and working with children in group setting in primary school c) Have good communication and interpersonal skills and works well with others
d) Should preferably have knowledge in basic Microsoft Office Skills
e) Possess good working attitude and willing to learn, not afraid to take up new challenges
