The Lyve Presales Engineering Team is high visibility emerging division of Seagate Technologies. We are looking for a driven individual with energy, passion, and initiative to join the team in this new business with our Lyve Cloud (storage as a service platform). **About the role - you will**: - Working with the Seagate sales team, help to identify the most significant enterprise, cloud, and edge customers. Navigate and penetrate these accounts to form relationships at senior business and technical levels - Own and manage the technical relationship with the customer. Manage the technical portion of the sales process from prospecting -> demonstrating -> developing the value proposition-> leading technical portion of RFI/RFQs -> support partner selling motion - Be a technical leader in cloud adoption approaches and be able to architect end to end solutions that include partner derived networks and software - Full authority to determine objectives and approaches to critical assignments - Understand the customer’s technical roadmap, systems architecture, pain points, competitive options, and business drivers. Establish the role of trusted advisor with the customer. - Tangibly influence roadmap definition for the division/company - Demonstrate effective leadership across the cross functional core team - Travel, as needed, domestically and internationally - Maintain opportunities, status and actions in CRM and other systems - Identify gaps in the Seagate portfolio and suggest product and or partners to fill these gaps - Provide company leading technical expertise in customer-focused solutions for key vertical markets **About you**: - Established track record working with large Cloud customers to align and achieve successful outcomes, while ensuring a satisfying customer experience along the way - Strong technical experience and understanding of computing technologies used in full solution on premise, private / public cloud, and edge computing environments - Objective and open to change - be a change agent to help others do the same - Ability to create and maintain trusting relationships with external and internal customers - Ability to work hands on for prototypes, demos, assisting customers during the evaluation process, etc. - Team player - Enjoys a fast-paced environment - Analytical mind - Strong customer focus - Self-starter **Your experience includes**: - Recognized as an expert in the field of cloud-based Storage as a Service as well as data transformation services - Deep technical understanding, experience, contacts, and sales success of enterprise-class cloud storage with experience around security, data integrity and service level management - Awareness of current trends in Cloud architecture, Orchestration & Storage - Experience and or strong understanding of the following: server virtualization, operating systems and file systems, data management, object storage, high availability, disaster recovery solutions, big data analytics - Relevant years of work in sales/solution engineering with enterprise customers - Relevant degree and/or equivalent experience **Location**: Location: Shugart, Singapore / Remote The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available.
