DESIGNATION : Head of Chinese Speech and Drama

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Enrichment, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities and business operations of Chinese Speech and Drama team. This includes planning, training, execution of Chinese Speech and Drama lessons.

**Job Role & Responsibilities**

**Business Operation**
- Lead the strategic and operational development of the business
- Oversee daily operational activities to ensure business continuity
- Prepare and submit all required business performance reports on weekly, monthly, and termly
- Provide weekly business updates and operational plan
- Prepare related marketing collaterals and newsletters to launch curriculum programs
- Work closely with operation and customer service team to plan programs, camps, and regular class schedules termly
- Liaise with operation and customer service team for teachers’ deployment
- Engage and manage parents’ concern of their children’s progression in class
- Lead bi-weekly teachers’ meetings

**Team Management**
- Build, train, manage and evaluate a team of Chinese Speech & Drama teachers
- Conduct interview, observe microteaching, onboard new hires of teachers
- Observe classes to ensure quality consistency in delivering learning objectives and provide feedback to teachers to improve on student development, performance and/or behaviour that are of concern
- Plan, coordinate and conduct staff training and development programs and activities which includes mentoring and demonstrating to junior teachers
- Responsible for teachers’ timetable planning and deployment of teachers to respective schools based on planned class schedules

**Curriculum and Teaching**
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and supervise curriculum development and implementation
- Supervise and direct the work of teachers to meet learning objectives of each programme
- Assess teaching methods, and modify lesson plans and activities on a termly basis or as and when required
- Deliver Chinese Speech and Drama lessons for pre-school children at any appointed centre under EtonHouse Group
- Assess, evaluate, monitor and document how effectively the curriculum meets the students’ needs

QUALIFICATIONS

**Job Requirements**
- Tertiary Education qualification, certificate in Chinese Speech and Drama or equivalent
- At least five years of relevant teaching experience with children aged 3 to 6 years old
- Process leadership qualities, management skills, and organizational skills
- Strong passion for arts and drama and working with pre-school children
- Strong command of Chinese language
- Good communication and classroom management skills
