Red Shield Industries (RSI) is the social enterprise arm of The Salvation Army. By re-using, recycling and restoring donations in kind from the public and corporations, it generates income through its Family Stores to support our mission to provide holistic care to the community.

RSI is also committed to providing work-therapy job opportunities. Partnering with the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), RSI opened its door for IMH's clients to work at the RSI Pick n Choose Store. This opportunity increases the clients' confidence, which helps in easing their way back into society and facilities their reintegration into the workforce.

RSI also strives to assist humanitarian needs in times of crisis and emergency, leveraging on its logistics network to deliever aid to crisis areas in the region quickly and efficiently.

Working closely with local and international organisations, RSI engages them in meaningful programmes for their coprate social responsibility initiatives.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**About The Job**

The Process Worker supports the mission of the Red Shield Industries, a social enterprise, highly regarded by public for its excellent delivery donation in kind service which is sensitive and responsive to the community welfare needs and meeting the funding needs of The Salvation Army. It is expected that as a process worker, the job incumbent will sort and distribute donated items according to the guidelines set up to maximize the revenue for The Salvation Army’s work.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Check and process all clothing/toys/bric-a-brac/books/glassware/etc collected are classified as per standard operation procedures
- Ensure items are sorted categorically and distributed efficiently to warehouse for on forwarding to the retail stores.
- Support the execution of the planning and smooth operation of the sorting system and packaging before sending to the warehouse for distribution to the various stores.
- Surrender unclaimed monies or valuables to supervisor who will bring to the attention of the Processing Centre Management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Secondary Education
- Physically fit (able to lift 10 to 20 kg of goods)
- Able to stand for long period (4 hours)
- Able to work in non-aircondition environment

**Working Hours**
- 44 working hours
- Monday to Sunday: 8.30am to 6pm (1 hour lunch break & half hour tea break)
